William Marty Arnold was born on February 5, 1963 in Camden, TN to Bobby Joe and Joda Sue Arnold of Holladay, TN. He accepted his call into the ministry on June 12, 1985 and began his ministry on January 1, 1986 in Oakton, KY at the Columbus Circuit. In 1989, Marty graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Business Administration. He furthered his education and obtained education certifications in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics and Mathematics (grades 7-12) and completed his elementary certification (grades 1-8) for all subjects. He became a bio-vocational pastor in the church in 1992 and was hired to teach and coach
basketball at Holladay School in Holladay, TN. In 1998, after obtaining his Masters in Administration and Supervision from Trevecca Nazarene University, Marty was hired as the principal of Holladay School. He also completed his Master’s plus 30 hours from Cumberland University and completed the Course of Study through the United Methodist Church. Marty has served congregations as a Licensed Local Pastor in Oakton, KY; Bradford, TN; Decaturville, TN; Camden, TN; Paris, TN and Holladay, TN. He retired from the Benton County School System, and has since moved into full time ministry as a Licensed Local Pastor in June 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Milan, TN. Marty and Tina were married on June 15, 2001 and to this union he brought his daughter, Victoria. Victoria is married to Hunter Dye of Paris, TN and they now reside in Springhill, TN. Victoria is an RN and Hunter is an insurance agent for State Farm. On July 10, 2004, they were blessed with a son, Tyson Pierce Arnold. Tyson will be attending the University of Tennessee at Martin with plans to major in Computer Science with an emphasis in Cybersecurity. As well as loving to sing with his family, Marty is also known for his biblical and evangelical preaching. He received the Harry Denman Evangelism Award in June 2021 at the Memphis Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. The Harry Denman Evangelism award honors a United Methodist clergy who has exhibited unusual and outstanding efforts in Christian evangelism by faithfully carrying out the mission of “making disciples of Jesus Christ.” Marty holds true to the Holy Scriptures, God’s Holy Word, and the doctrine of the United Methodist Church. |

Rachel is a Milan native who grew up in this church. She went to school at Austin Peay where she received her Bachelor and Masters degree in Music Education. She has a passion for education and children and looks forward to growing the children's ministry.
